More than four years after its release, As It Was is still drawing a huge audience. Harry Styles’ music video for the 2022 hit has now passed 1 billion views on YouTube.
The milestone was confirmed as the song continued to attract viewers long after its original release. As It Was was the lead single from Styles’ third studio album, Harry’s House, and became one of the biggest hits of his solo career.
The track spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Billboard Global 200. Harry’s House went on to win Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
As It Was is now the second Styles music video to cross the 1 billion-view mark on YouTube. Sign of the Times had already reached the same milestone.
The latest total adds another chapter to the long run of As It Was, a song that remained a major part of Styles’ catalog well beyond its first year of release.
