Fans of George Michael will soon have a chance to experience one of the most important moments of his solo career on the big screen. A newly announced concert film will bring restored footage from his 1988 Faith Tour to theaters later this year, giving audiences a fresh look at performances that helped define the era.
The release includes footage from shows filmed in Paris during the tour, presented in a newly restored format for theaters, including IMAX locations where available. The project also features a companion short film called Finding Faith. It includes audio from a previously unheard interview with George Michael, along with rare photographs and behind-the-scenes footage connected to the making of the Faith music video.
The concert captures performances of songs from the Faith album, several Wham! favorites, and a selection of cover songs that were part of the live set. Alongside the film, an 18-track live album featuring previously unreleased recordings from the tour is also scheduled for release, giving fans another way to revisit this chapter of George Michael’s career.
